Why is this important?
Plato & Rutt assure that each door and drawer is 'tuned' to produce a clean reveal on inset door cabinet construction.
Plato & Rutt build their own doors and drawer boxes, the center panels of the doors are pre-finished before they are assembled!
Since the center panels of doors naturally expand and contract with temperature changes, lower quality doors will expose bare wood when the panel contracts. (see picture). Lower quality manufacturers buy their doors from an outside source and the finish is applied after the door is assembled. The panel never gets a full finish !
